Kaitlin Shavey is a Bay Area native, having been born and raised in the East Bay. After graduating from Cal Poly, she moved to San Francisco and began her career in the event marketing industry with George P. Johnson. With her keen eye for detail, Kaitlin worked on a variety of corporate events, ranging from intimate gatherings to large scale conferences across the country. After two years in event marketing, Kaitlin made a brief foray into the retail industry at Williams Sonoma before returning to event marketing where she has now spent four years helping teams bring their visions to life with remarkable events that leave lasting impressions.
At Pear, Kaitlin leads Event Marketing, where she plans and executes events that represent Pear in the world and build community with top founders.
Today, Kaitlin resides in San Francisco with her husband Gavin and two cats, Benji and Jax.
Outside of work you’ll find me…
Yoga, skiing, cooking (especially making new sourdough recipes), hiking, trying new restaurants with family and friends, and traveling.

What career path did you want to pursue when you were a kid?
I always wanted to be an elementary teacher – I come from a long line of teachers and administrators, and used to love “playing teacher” in my grandmother’s 2nd grade class.

Giants and Warriors – Bay Area born and raised!

Between supporting founders in our portfolio, building relationships amongst emerging founders and continuing to build Pear’s brand, events are integral to our story. Now with our expanded space at Pear Studio SF, our team is eager to continue to expand upon our passion for supporting early stage founders through providing them a premier office to start their journey.
