Andrew Parambath

Andrew is an investor at Pear VC, where he focuses on healthcare and has the privilege of learning from and working alongside founders across the industry.

He is especially excited by ambitious founders taking on healthcare’s hardest problems and reimagining how care is delivered and experienced.

Andrew earned his MD from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA from the Wharton School, where he studied healthcare management. Before medical school, he taught science through Teach For America and earned his Master’s in Education from Southern Methodist University. Alongside his work at Pear, he practices Emergency Medicine at Stanford and conducted research focused on healthcare innovation, technology, and care delivery, with work published in The New England Journal of Medicine, NEJM Catalyst, Annals of Internal Medicine, and JAMA.

Andrew loves meeting interesting people and bringing together communities across healthcare, technology, and entrepreneurship. He also hosts Pear’s Healthcare Playbook podcast, where he gets to learn from founders and healthcare leaders across the country. When he’s not at Pear or the hospital, you can usually find him playing basketball, catching a game, trying a new restaurant and adding it to his ever-growing list of favorite food spots, or spending time with friends and family.
