What is Pear Studio?
Pear Studio is our collaborative place for founders and entrepreneurs. We have two locations: San Francisco and Menlo Park. Membership to Pear Studio is by application or invitation only.
What does membership at Pear Studio include?
Members of Pear Studio get access to a state of the art space and a vibrant community. As a member of Pear Studio, you get more than just access to a desk; you get access to Pear partners, community events and programming, and curated social events.
Who are members of Pear Studio?
Pear Studio members include portfolio companies (including through our accelerator PearX), Pear communities (such as Female Founders Circle and Persian Founders Circle), and other early stage founders.
Where is Pear Studio?
We have two locations: San Francisco and Menlo Park. In San Francisco, our office is conveniently located near the freeway in the Mission Bay neighborhood.
What are the expectations of Pear Studio members?
Pear Studio is a place for collaboration and building. We expect Pear Studio members to be in the office at least three days per week. For new members applying as part of our open application process, we do not require an investment in your company, but if you are planning on fundraising, we do ask that you give us a heads up and opportunity to explore investment opportunities together.
Does Pear Studio membership include an investment from Pear? Are there any investment requirements?
No, Pear Studio membership does not guarantee an investment from Pear and it does not require one. However, if you are planning on fundraising, we do ask that you give us a heads up and opportunity to explore investment opportunities together.
How much does Pear Studio cost?
Pear Studio membership is free for the agreed upon term (3 months for non-portfolio members).
Who should apply to be a member of Pear Studio?
Pear Studio is for founders in the earliest stages of company building and exploration. As a firm, Pear focuses on pre-seed and seed investments, so programming and events in Pear Studio are targeted to founders building at these stages. If you are beyond that stage, Pear Studio is likely not the place for you.
How long is membership in Pear Studio?
For companies that aren’t in our portfolio, Pear Studio membership is three months. Pear Studio is meant to help people get a kickstart on their journey as founders. We are unable to extend membership beyond three months at this time.
