AI Announcement Founder Stories Fundraising

At Pear, we back founders who see around corners—those building the infrastructure that will power the next decade of innovation.

Today, we’re excited to announce our seed investment in Parallax Worlds, the modern reliability testing platform for robots. Pear led the $4M seed round, with participation from GS Futures, Kakao Ventures, and Lightscape Partners, alongside angels and groups including Gaingels, Nova Threshold, and Mana Ventures. The round brings the company’s total funding to $4.9M.

Co-founders Tanmay Agarwal and Aumkar Renavikar are building the missing simulation layer that bridges robotics R&D and real-world deployment by virtualizing physical spaces to make testing and reliability scalable. Their digital-twin platform turns simulation into a true reliability engine, transforming what used to take years of costly trial and error into weeks of virtual iteration.

How we met

We first met the Parallax team as they were closing their pre-seed round. Tanmay and Aumkar stood out right away in their ability to build a technically complex platform that bridges robotics, simulation, and AI interfaces. It was clear they had the potential to build something exceptional. We reconnected during their seed raise and our conviction only grew as we saw the meaningful progress they had made over the past year.

Why we invested

Industrial robots are ubiquitous in modern factories and warehouses, yet they still fail far too often in real production environments. Downtime can cost factories millions of dollars per incident and traditional testing is slow, expensive, and limited—often taking more than a year before deployment.

Parallax Worlds solves this by virtualizing production environments into high-fidelity simulations that let teams test robots at scale before they ever reach the factory floor. Their platform automatically generates digital twins from site data, simulates thousands of edge cases using natural language prompts, and integrates with industry physics engines and tooling, including NVIDIA Omniverse, Unreal, and Unity.

We invested in Parallax because the need is massive, the value proposition is immediate, and the team is uniquely equipped to build this. Co-founders Tanmay Agarwal and Aumkar Renavikar bring rare depth in simulation, AI, and 3D systems. and customers already see the impact. Parallax customers included Orangewood Labs (industrial robots for manufacturing), BotBuilt (robots for home construction), and Rainier Labs (mobile welding robots).

With its hyper-realistic simulations, Parallax Worlds dramatically accelerates testing while improving real-world performance so that more factories and warehouses can adopt automation with confidence.

What’s next for Parallax Worlds

The new funding will be used for product R&D, hiring, and go-to-market as the Parallax team focuses on expanding into enterprise manufacturing and winning more robotics-builder customers.

Tanmay and Aumkar are leading a foundational shift that will redefine how entire industries build and trust automation. We’re proud to back the Parallax team as they make this vision a reality and look forward to what’s ahead.
