Naomi Chetrit Band

Head of Dorm

“My lifelong excitement for learning and education finds its natural home on campuses and inside classrooms. Living in Israel, surrounded by a vibrant startup ecosystem, I developed a strong inclination towards working with founders and supporting early stage startups. Being at Pear now allows me to blend both of my passions, for which I am truly grateful.”

What is your most used emoji?

💪 and ✨- I use the first one as a sign of power and encouragement (“let’s do this”, “we got this”). The second one I use to add a little magic (or as I call it- fairy dust).

What’s your favorite book?

I love reading biographies. I find inspiration and insight in real-life stories of remarkable individuals. Biographies are a great way to learn about history, culture, and unique perspectives of people, all of which I’m very interested in. One of my favorite’s is Steve Job’s biography by Walter Isaacson. It offers a look into the life of one of the most visionary entrepreneurs, providing valuable lessons on innovation, leadership, and the impact of technology on society. I find it very motivating!

What career path did you want to pursue when you were a kid?

As a child, I dreamt of being a fashion designer and building a huge brand. I loved the creative aspect of it and how clothing allowed people to express themselves and feel good about themselves. As I grew older, my love for fashion and creating something from scratch never disappeared.

What are your favorite sports teams?

I hate to admit but I'm not a big fan of sports. However, I’m always open to learning. Feel free to pitch me your favorite team and I’m happy to cheer it on!

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I love spending time with my family, friends, and my Pomeranian, Hercules. I have a huge passion for teaching and learning. I enjoy cooking, especially my grandma’s Israeli/Moroccan specialties, practicing pilates, and traveling/exploring new places and cultures.
