Shravan Reddy is a Visiting Partner at Pear, focused on PearX. Our PearX program is the way we do pre-seed at Pear and its important that the program is led by founders who truly understand the entrepreneurial journey. Shravan has an intimate grasp of the founder journey, having navigated its challenges and successes firsthand.

He was co-founder and CEO of Pixelapse, a design collaboration company. He grew the business to profitability and tens of thousands of designers on the platform. The company was eventually acquired by Dropbox. Post-acquisition, Shravan led teams building Dropbox’s suite of collaboration tools, including comments and file previews. Shravan was most recently an Engineering Leader at Stripe. He grew Stripe Treasury from idea to hundreds of millions of dollars in deposits, and led Issuing’s integrations with half-a-dozen banks.

What is your most used emoji?

Tie between 👋, 🙏 and most recently 🍐.

What’s your favorite book?

We just had our first baby and read to him every night before bedtime. Currently, I’m a big fan of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See? Besides the soothing rhyming content, it’s extremely valuable time we get to spend together

What career path did you want to pursue when you were a kid?

As a very young child, I was quite keen to become a firefighter. In a sense, running a startup is fire fighting constantly!

What are your favorite sports teams?

I follow the NBA most closely – the Warriors have been my team since the “We Believe” era. You can find me cheering for India during the cricket World Cup and attending Stanford Cardinal football games in the fall.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Playing basketball + taking our little one on long hikes or coffee runs. Recently, very into the Star Wars Lego kits. (Turns into an expensive hobby quickly. 😜)
